Decision taken by the Conference per the directives from the President of the Republic of Ghana and SGUC

In line with the government directive banning all public gatherings effective March 16, 2020, the SGUC released ordering all Seventh-day Adventist Churches to remain closed for four weeks.

All church services and meetings are therefore suspended for the period. The Directive also requires all weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, scheduled within the ban period to be rescheduled or planned to accommodate 25 persons and below. Pastors are therefore required to enforce this stringently.

In line with the above directives, the Eastern View Ghana Conference is urging all church activities to be held in houses while all churches remained closed as has been ordered.
The order of services shall include the following:

  • Prayers/Sabbath School and Bible Study
  • Collection of Tithes and Offerings
  • Sunday Bible Studies and Mid-Week prayer must also be held in houses.

District Pastors are mandatorily required to go round to monitor activities of small groups and avoid excessive noise making.

In a prayers and supplication, remember our dear nation Ghana.
God bless you.
Yours in His service.

Signed
Collins Kyei Konadu
(Executive Secretary)
